Property photography franchise Top Snap brings its innovative marketing services to NZ
A real estate agent receives instructions to advertise an empty property with furnished rooms. Normally this would mean hiring furniture, but not any longer. Now the agent can simply call their local Top Snap franchisee who will not only professionally photograph the property but, with a little digital magic, can also virtually furnish rooms in a variety of styles.
This is just one of a number of innovative services that sets property photography franchise Top Snap apart from its competitors. While it may be new to New Zealand, Top Snap has been operating successfully in Australia for a number of years and has 25 successfully-established franchisees there. The company is renowned for its professional property photography (which can be digitally enhanced and delivered to clients within 24 hours) and property marketing tools including floor plans, copywriting and online property tours.
After thoroughly researching the New Zealand market, franchisor Rob Watkin is confident that Top Snap’s franchise system is well placed to meet the needs of local property industry clients including real estate agents, property developers, architects and builders. ‘As we all know, property is generally the most valuable asset that any of us will own, so when it comes to selling it is crucial that it is marketed and represented in its best light,’ Rob says. ‘Time and experience have shown that our professional photography and marketing tools, coupled with our digital image enhancement, are invaluable in helping to attract buyers, reduce time on the market and ultimately increase the dollar value of a sale.’
Franchise opportunities starting at $39,000 +gst and equipment are now available across the country. The key attributes to becoming a ‘Top Snapper’, according to Rob, are, ‘energy, enthusiasm, good people skills and above all a desire to grow and run your own successful business. While experience in photography and property is also helpful, it’s not essential. Franchisees receive comprehensive training in property photography in a real, on-the-job environment, plus classroom time covering sales and marketing skills and the use of our photo management system.
‘Franchisees also get an exclusive territory and client database, plus lots of support to launch and grow their business, and access to sales and marketing material including manuals, direct mail, e-marketing templates, fliers, brochures and the website,’ says Rob.
Franchise consultant Warren Mills, who is spearheading the New Zealand operation, came away suitably impressed with the company after a recent visit to its head office. ‘From my own experience I know the impact top quality photos can make on a property’s saleability, and Top Snap’s images and products are in a class of their own.
‘As a former franchisor myself, I was also enormously impressed with the franchise system and brand: the operating systems; the professional photography shoots using high-end digital cameras; the innovative approach to product development; the marketing materials and the custom-built image management server that does everything from hosting images to maintaining franchisees’ databases and accounts. I also liked the additional income streams that franchisees can generate from property marketing tools and see a lot of growth potential in this area as Top Snap continues to develop new and innovative products.’
Warren has no doubts about how well the system will translate to the New Zealand market, either. ‘I am convinced that Top Snap is the right system to be bringing to this country, thanks to the bounce back in the property market since the global financial crisis and the property industry’s growing needs for professional photography and property marketing tools.
‘Given this scope for growth we are particularly keen to receive enquiries for all areas, especially Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. There’s also an opportunity to invest in the New Zealand master franchise for the right person. So visit our website or give us a call, but make it snappy - the market’s ready and waiting.’
