In-home nail care, personal care and domestic support. Mrs Moore will tackle 101 chores in and around the home.
Seeking enthusiastic people, sympathetic to the care and welfare of the elderly, with a can-do attitude.
‘Mrs Moore' provides personal care and domestic support for mainly elderly and/or disabled persons, enabling them to remain in their own home for longer.
The most significant point of difference will be the nail care service for which Mrs Moore franchisees will receive special training in ‘manicare' and ‘pedicare', provided by WINTEC (Waikato Institute of Technology).
Each franchisee is compelled to offer the nail care service for which they will be specifically trained and ultimately qualified, but franchisees can also choose to undertake other chores in and around the home, which can and will benefit clients of all ages. We regularly talk about 101 jobs that Mrs Moore can do but, in fact, there are many more than that. Some franchisees will gladly agree to do challenging domestic duties, such as washing walls and ceilings, while others won't. Preparing meals and preserving fruit may be easy for some franchisees, while others are not confident in the kitchen. You, the franchisee, decide what you'll do and what you won't.
The business has been developed by the father and daughter team of Dennis and Rachel Trotter. Dennis is the franchisor of the very successful RoomMate Cabins business that had national coverage within 12 months of conception. Rachel's degree in communication, as well as experience running her own event management company, gives her a useful skill set.
The family business evolved from a business named "Tootseez", which was started by Val Moore (Dennis' sister). "Tootseez" was primarily a toenail cutting service, and Val quickly obtained a large clientele of mainly elderly folk, both men and women, who found it difficult to complete this basic, but necessary, personal chore.
It is the offering of the nail care core service that has created much interest among prospective franchisees. Not only will Mrs Moore undertake to complete this task cheaper than traditional suppliers of similar services, but the fact it can be done in the client's own home has much appeal.
Interested parties should visit the website (http://www.mrsmoore.co.nz/) to consider basic information. Following that, you can request an information pack, which includes a DVD copy of our information seminar. If necessary, applicants will have a one-on-one interview with Rachel and/or Dennis and progress from there.
Both parties will discuss, and agree on, an exclusive area for which the new franchisee will be responsible.
At this stage, the prospective franchisee will pay an initial $500 and will be issued with a copy of the franchise agreement which they can discuss with their advisers. A two week ‘cooling-off' period starts at this time, with the initial payment refunded in full if the applicant wishes to withdraw for any reason whatsoever.
A likely training date is advised at this point and a further deposit of $500 is paid. The balance of $500 is to be paid on day one of the training.
We may be able to offer franchises on a pay-as-you-earn basis, and/or offer a trial period - please contact us for details.
A four-day training course is included in the franchise purchase price, and includes nail care training provided by WINTEC. The training will be held in Hamilton. Morning & afternoon teas and participation in the graduation dinner are also included. However, all other meals, travel to and from Hamilton, and accommodation for the duration of the four-day course are at your own cost.
